YouTube is developing AI detection tools to help creators better control content involving voice cloning or deepfakes using AI.
The first tool is “Synthetic Singing Voice Detection,” which allows creators to automatically detect and manage YouTube content that uses AI to mimic their voices.
The second tool under development is for automatically identifying deepfake human faces generated by AI to protect individuals from being misused in videos to endorse products or spread misinformation.
YouTube also plans to introduce interceptors and detection systems to prevent companies from scraping content from the platform to train their AI models.
